What a day full of rhymes! You should have heard the chimes! These kids were making it a wonderful time by the poems and poems and poems they could find. Pretty soon they are going to be famous little authors like Dr. Seuss. We learned about Dr. Seuss, read a lot of his books, and even […]

Learning about the scientific method during science EXTRA was such a fun experience. Our last day we made  hypotheses about what would happen if we put oil and water together, and asked questions about why the water went to the bottom. It was great to see their reactions as the food dye sunk to the bottom […]

We had a great discussion with baseball players who were willing to come to our class and share more about their lives. We learned that something they do that is similar to us is read! We were in awe as they read us stories and answered our questions. What a great memory!

Our class loved using pipets and filling “clouds” with rain, hail, snow, and sleet. When the “clouds” got heavy enough they started “raining” down. It was fun to see the kids get into it and learn about the water cycle.

For Christmas Around the World the students were able to “get on an airplane” and go to Mexico, Germany, Argentina, America, and Israel. They had a blast participating in activities that children around the world play during the holidays, making Poinsettias, and learning about the special traditions around the world.
